Batty the battered bat faces spending Halloween at a rescue sanctuary after enduring a fright night of his own.<\/p>\n
The tiny Pipistrelle Bat, which is just 40mm long and weighs only six grams, was brought to our hospital after a night time attack by a cat.<\/p>\n
Our staff had the tricky task of examining the tiny bat, who they quickly nicknamed Batty.<\/p>\n
Kim Rogers, our Client Care Manager, said: \u201cA member of the public brought \u2018Batty\u2019 into us after he\u2019d been pounced on by a cat.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe cat was then caught in the act by its owners after it had carried the bat into house through the cat flap.<\/p>\n
\u201cLuckily, Batty survived the ordeal and he has now been taken to the Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue Centre, in Windlesham, for some much-needed rest and recuperation.\u201d<\/p>\n
