We’re a silver level Cat Friendly Clinic based in Bracknell

Here at Moor Cottage Vets  in Bracknell it’s important to us to demonstrate our commitment to the animals you entrust into our care. Working with the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM), we looked at how we could make Moor Cottage Vets the best it could possibly be for cats, to ensure their visits were as stress free as possible for pets and for owners.

Cats, by their nature, are more sensitive to changes in their environment, which means that vet visits can be challenging from the off. We know through years of experience that even getting your cat to the vets is difficult, so we want to make sure that, when they’re here, their visit is as calming as possible.
In order to achieve our Silver Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation, we were assessed by the ISFM across the board – from vets through to receptionists.

We have demonstrated that we:
• Understand the needs of cats and have made visits to the vet clinic more cat friendly
• Understand how to approach and handle cats gently and with care
• Have good knowledge and equipment to manage the care of cats

As a Silver Standard Cat Friendly Clinic, all our vets and nurses undertake ongoing formal study each year for continuing development and clinical governance. We are trained to handle cats in a manner that minimises stress, fear and anxiety, as well as advising owners on the best way to safely and comfortably transport their pet to Moor Cottage Vets.

We have 2 in-house cat advocates in our Bracknell practice – vet Roberta Duncan, and vet nurse Caroline Brown – who are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and to provide information and advice on caring for your cat.

Our facilities include spacious hospitalisation wards, and teeth cleaning/dental procedure equipment. We have a separate waiting area for cats, so they don’t have to come into contact with other animals.
