The beautiful 8 year old Staffy suffered on the 1st of April a Road Traffic accident.

georgie, moor cottage vets

Georgie is a 15 year old ginger and white cat, who was brought in to see a vet after her owners noticed a red lump on one of her ears. The vet carried out a procedure called an FNA (Fine needle aspirate), a fairly non-invasive procedure where a needle and syringe is gently placed into the area of interest, so a sample of cells within it can be obtained for pathology.

Nugget was chosen as our Brave Heart recipient because of her astonishing recovery from a terrible accident and her courage and bravery during this time.

Harvey is a beautiful 3 year old ginger cat who is very deserving of this month’s braveheart award. He was first seen by one of our veterinary surgeons, Sally Ward, as he had been having trouble urinating.

Our Moor Cottage Veterinary Hospital Braveheart for February 2019 is Minnie Scott – a beautiful white Persian cat.

Our new £180,000 cat clinic was officially opened thanks to local schoolchildren playing a starring role at the big launch.

Swci

Swci (pronounced Suki) is a lovely little Cocker Spaniel who came to Moor Cottage Veterinary Hospital as she wasn’t feeling quite herself. She didn’t have her usual good appetite and wasn’t running around as much as normal.

Hector is a lovely Springer Spaniel who has been visiting us since he was a little pup of 8 weeks old. He has now reached the ripe old age of (nearly) 14!
At the end of November, Hector was rushed into us as he was unable to stand and was very distressed and disorientated.
